Biography of Prince siddhartha
I. Early Years
A. This prince was born in a city near the Himalaya Mountains in Northern India in 565 BC. He was son to a beautiful queen and powerful king.
B. Prince Siddhartha was born to a rain of flowers on the prince and his mother in the garden where he was born.
C. This prince grew up the "perfect life" not knowing much about the outside world. His father gave him the best slaves, education, and homes.
D. Prince Siddhartha married at age 16 and had a son at age 29. After he got married they lived together in many palaces for 12 years.

II. Significant Events
A. Prince Siddhartha goes on three trips where he is explained the three types of pain, weakness, illness, and death.
B. After he speaks to an ascetic about finding peace the prince decides to give up his royal life and become an ascetic. He did what all the ascetics did, meditate, fast, have no sleep, and holding your breath. After awhile when he got awfully thin and decided to quite because this wasn't his enlightenment.
C. The night of his 35th birthday Siddhartha meditated under the soon to be Budhi tree to find his enlightenment. While meditating the wicked god Mara and her three daughters were trying distract him but that didn't work and in the morning he became Buddha, the awakened one.
D. Siddhartha decided to share this belief with India so everyone can live the enlightened path.

B. Siddhartha was determined to find the enlightened path trying many different things like ascetic and royalty before finally trying Buddhism. He could of just given up after he realized that ascetic was not the enlightened path.
C. As a child the prince was curious of the outside world because all he has been is the palace that he grew up in with very limited imformatoi n on the outside world.
D. Siddhartha was very peaceful especially as a ascetic. He did lots of meditating to help keep him calm and relaxed.

A.Siddhartha's greatest contribution is that he discovered Buddhism,the four nobles, and the eightfold path.
B. Siddhartha found the Budhi tree witch is the birth place of Buddhism.
C. Siddhartha on his own was the person to spread Buddhism witch became the second most popular religion in all of India.
D. Siddhartha discovered a way to live with absolutely no suffering.

V. My Impression
A. Siddhartha really wanted to know what the enlightened path was and how to share with other people.
B. Siddhartha really enjoyed the relaxation of meditating and believed that it helps you concentrate and focus.
C. From my research I think that as a kid he kind of was like Repunzal locked up in the palace with only the allowed visitors and all he wanted know was the outside world.
D. What Siddhartha really wanted was to find a life style where no one has to suffer.
